Kudos Vitamin C plus Bioflavonoids 900mg: Unlike most mammals, humans cannot synthesise their own vitamin C, but have to rely on dietary sources. Needed for the formation of collagen needed for healthy skin, gums, eyes, teeth, bones and blood vessels. Assists the absorption of iron in the body. Large amounts of vitamin C are used up under stress. A powerful antioxidant which may be helpful in detoxifying the body of heavy metals. May offer cardiovascular protection. Bioflavonoids are plant nutrients which occur in nature with vitamin C and they are thought to enhance the absorption of this vitamin. Bioflavonoids also have benefits in their own right; they are thought to strengthen blood capillaries found in all tissues. Suggested intake: One capsule daily with a meal. Contra-indications and side effects: Should not be taken by anyone suffering from gastric or duodenal ulcers, kidney problems or internal haemorrhoids.Not recommended in doses above 1000 mg for women taking the contraceptive pill.May cause bowel looseness if taken in excess. If this occurs reduce ingestion to bowel tolerance levels.High doses of vitamin C may interfere with chemotherapy treatment for cancer.
