Weleda Chamomilla 3x Granules made from soothing chamomile root. More suited to younger infants than Chamomilla Drops (granules can be crushed and dissolved in boiled and cooled water for very small children). The base granule is made from sucrose and won't cause problems for lactose-intolerant infants. Colic is abdominal pain caused by the intestinal contractions (cramping) and wind, and is most common during the first 3 months of life. Babies and young children often suffer from colic. Signs are normally repeated episodes of excessive crying, often accompanied by the drawing up of legs in an otherwise healthy, well-fed baby. In general the granules are more suited to babies from birth onwards and the drops should be restricted to use in children over 6 months. Tip Chamomilla 3X drops or granules can be used for adults suffering from colicky pain. In addition intestinal colic in adults can be relieved using MELISSA COMP drops. |
